There is a ghost there for sure. I was once on a school trip there back in 2006, it was my second night there (can't quite remember) anyway.. It was in the middle of the night and I needed the toilet. So I got up out of my bump bed.. walked out of my door, looked to my left and along the long corridor, about 10m down I saw a small white cloaked/hooded figure about 4ft 8, I just stopped and starred, it walked out from the wall and stopped half way, turned it's head to the right and looked at me. All I could see was the white hooded figure with a totally blacked out face (I couldn't see any features e.g. eyes, mouth...) It was holding a lit lantern. Then it just carried on walking forward through the wall opposite.
Yes, I must have gone on a residential trip there back in the 1990s
i remember being on the top bunk and the dorm was empty that evening apart from myself , as I didn’t feel well (I was given something with milk in and didn’t feel up to the evening entertainment)
I was reading a book on a top bunk and looked up for a split second , no idea why?! and there was a figure, wearing brown/red clothing with a hat or hood on that walked round the bunk in front of me like it had just entered through the door on the right,
it went towards the window and then around to the left of the bunk and straight through the partition wall behind me
they were only small, a little less than 5 foot and I got the feeling it was a girl/very young woman
I would say they were looking straight at me the entire time due to the way it’s head moved as they walked round the bunk I was on
but their face had no features There was just like a thick fog where skin should have been
i didn’t move an inch till one of my class entered the dorm to check on me and I certainly didn’t sleep that night either
i rennet the dorm being on the upper floor near the tunnels/boot store
ingleborough hall is in fact haunted i was on resedential when the window started shaking and blew all the way open, the following night i went to the bathroom and all i could hear was a constant clap and the screams of children, romour has it that a man with multiple children died there a while ago and the children still roam the halls. be careful. good day dudes.
Yes. I went there just a few weeks ago and had many ghostly doings. ne of them was in the later evening around 8 ish at the campfire I was really cold so i decided to go into grab my jacket when I entered the hall it felt really eerie.. When i walked into my room i saw a fair amount of black hair and a quiet scurrying noise the hair was quickly hidden as then i heard quiet tapping and hushed whispering from under the bunkbed. Another experience was when the staff had announced lights out I was on the top bunk and was the closest to the window I saw what looked like a white head in the far bushes to calm myself I decided it was a white flower when I awoke the head/flower shaped figure was gone. My friend who was in my dorm also told me she saw a floating white head in the bushes similar to mine when we was doing outdoor activities late at night. Another one of my friends -he is a boy- Was walking out from the shower room when he saw a figure standing in the hall way. We found stranger and creepy notes under our beds and things like carved words saying 'she's here' and 'help'.
I don't believe anything can be haunted.

i think it is the brown lady of rayham hall? Haunting is a an aberration of the mind. Not of a place. Anywhere can be haunted if the person wishes it so. Conversely a place cannot be haunted if a mind does not allow it.
