I don't know because I did it and I haven't had any problems but I did wash it loads and loads till it faded and then I waited about 30 minutes and then washed it again and then it came out!

Some pens can be recycled but some can`t. Only plastic pens can. But you need to take the ink cartage out. GO GREEN!!!
Chromatography cannot be used because biro ink does not dissolve in water. I actually dont know how to separate the colors in Biro ink.. :( sorry, but look it up on google.com!
