Yes, it is very, very true. When I was in grade school. I followed the leader and took an eraser to tattoo my initial on my right arm and today, 50 years later I can still see the scar, though its very faint, its never the less still there.
This was really done with an small school eraser. Oh, the foolish things that we did as children, trying to follow the crowd. Today, proof of the error of my ways can still be seen.
Nothing new! It's at least 50 years old.
