What are the shoe racks for in a mosque?

The mosques is an extremely sacred place for the Muslims. It is meant for worship of Almighty Allah, learning or reciting of the Qur'an, or remembrance of Almighty God. Why is the Mandir important in the community?

As Christians go to Church and Muslims go to Mosque, Hindus pray in Mandir a.k.a Hindu temple. It is place of worship, where Hindus pay respect to God. For Hindus, it is a sacred place where God resides and Hindus believe praying there gives them good Karma. Children also go there to learn. People give offerings of food and money to show they respect the gods/deities. The devotees conduct special ceremonies like Arti, Archane, Abhisheka, Utsava, Rathotsava, Kumbhabhisheka and other Kainkaryas. Sometimes, in the the temple premises, people perform Harikathe (stories of Hindu Gods), sing devotional songs, dance Bharathanatyam, etc. Other names for Hindu temple are Mandir, Devalayam, Devasthanam, Kshetralayam, Jambalaya, Ko-ail, Aalayam, Deula, etc.

The praying mantis uses it's front feet to not only help the insect in it's stability when walking, but to also grab it's prey and kill it. Ever notice how the praying mantis has tiny spines on it's forearms?Well those spines dig into the prey when caught, thus making the prey unable to escape.

Why do Muslims stand shoulder to shoulder?

I do not know a lot, but I will still give u a simple answer, I'm sure some others would give more rich answers still. So Islam is based on that EVERYONE is equal, we are all slaves of God, no difference between us, so even in our prayers, we pray shoulder to shoulder... Now why is that ? First, it gives Muslims unity, that every1 is praying shoulder to shoulder to the other, and they are all doing the same thing, praying to God. Secondly, it forces the point of equality in Islam, so you would see a billionaire praying shoulder to shoulder to a poor person who can barely have enough to eat, just like what you would see in Hajj in Mecca for example, presidents of countries praying shoulder to shoulder to random normal people, coz in Islam they both are equal. I am very sure that others can add much more to that, I just answered by my limited knowledge of the case. My best regards.

Why do Muslims wash their hands before praying?

Muslims who come to the Mosque to pray must perform wudu before doing so. Wudu is often translated as "partial ablution". This is a sacred wash that symbolises spiritual cleansing and purity when coming before God. They must wash the exposed parts of the body so they are clean and presentable when praying as they believe Allah watches them pray. These exposed parts include washing their hands, mouth, throat, nose, ears, arms up to the elbow and feet. The Islamic prophet Muhammad once said that "Cleanliness is half of faith".
