Small amounts of low or no alcohol content beer will not interact adversely with Celexa (citalopram) or any other SSRI or SNRI antidepressant.
You are advised not to drink alcohol while taking Celexa.
Doses of up to 6000 mg of celexa have been taken without fatal results. Variables such as weight, metabolism, and possible alcohol consumption must be taken into consideration. Approximately 340 mg of celexa can cause a person to experience a euphoric high and if paired with alcohol can lead to death.

NON PROFESSIONAL ANSWER.... I recently switched from Celexa to Wellbutrin. My doctor told me I did not have to "step down" from Celexa in order to take wellbutrin. I just started Wellbutrin the very next day and stopped taking Celexa.
celexa is a generic of lexapro Celexa is not the generic of Lexapro. Its the sister of Celexa. Lexapro will go generic, hopefully, by 2012
You can mix Celexa with liquor but be aware of the fact that the side effects of Celexa could be intensified. I wouldn't recommend mixing Hydrocodone with Celexa due to the depressing effect of Hydrocodone on the CNS. It can be done but it's recommended that your doc monitors the dosage on both. Alcohol and steroids are mixed often. If you are taking an oral steroid I would be careful as both alcohol and oral steroids are passed through your liver which can cause liver damage/disease.
