The word "holy" originates from ancient Wales where Druids believed that rocks with naturally formed holes in them were of religious signifigance, therefore the word itself is not even Christian, however it is your intention when using it that defines the sin. When you say "holy" are you claiming that this thing in any way compares to God? If so.... definately, yes

Many people consider it disrespectful to use the word "holy" in irreverent terms, as it can be seen as a mockery of something sacred or divine. It is important to be mindful of how we use language and to show respect for others' beliefs and traditions.

Were the apostles holy?

Yes the apostles were holy. The word holy means to be set apart to God. All Christians are according to this definition "holy" and called saints. Did the apostles sin? Yes they did because all men sin, but when a follower of Christ does sin they turn from that sin and confess it to God, who brings that person back into fellowship with Himself. A Christian does not habitually sin. If they do they are in danger from God as God will chastises them severely and even cause their death if they do not repent.

Where did the Spanish word san originate?

It originates from the Latin word "sine" meaning "without."______________I'm not a language specialist, but I believe sine is the Latin origin of the Spanish word 'sin', without. San more likely comes from the Latin sanctus, meaning holy. Consider San Diego, San Francisco and others.[Regarding the Spanish word sin] Buscan gente sin experiencia previa. They are looking for people with no experience.Estamos sin vino. We are out of wine.
