There's no reason to change fuses that aren't damaged. They don't wear out in normal use. Fuses are only affected by being exposed to too much current.

Check your fuses. Sometimes a fuse can be the cause of a seemingly difficult problem.

Where is the fuse box on a 1961 Cadillac Fleetwod?

icouldn't figure it our either because i too own one. i even bought the shop manual and thought yes i will finally know... then when i turned to the page it should be on it said.. fuses are located in the fuse panel. i still have no idea where it is.

Can you replace a fuse by a piece of wire?

its not a good idea, for the fuse is a different metal strip. it will blow if a short or problems in curcuit appear. where a wire will not blow, and it could cause a fire if the curcuit is still bad. so I would not use a wire for this. just keep some fuses handy. good-day!

Can you replace a fuse with tin foil?

it will bypass the fuse, which you should never do because instead of the fuse melting the wires in your house or appliance will. It is not difficult to make your own fuses out of various gauges of solder and steel rods for contacts (but this is often more expensive than just buying one).

Why would the gauges quit working on buick after washing the engine?

You probably shorted something with the water, check your fuses, replace any that are "blown". If the fuse "blows" again then start disconnecting connectors on the engine and get "all" the water out and replace fuse again. Not a good idea to hose down an engine especially if it's hot. you get water on a "very hot" exhuast pipe and you may crack it. TommyTrouble

94 Geo Metro lost low and high beam. Fuses are OK bulbs are OK Any idea will be helpful?

Might not be the same, but on my '96 there is a white connector under the dash by the fuse panel that burns/melts. One wire will usually toast the whole connector. Replace the connector or splice in new wire.

Where can you find a fuse box diagram for a Toyota Tacoma?

Typically in the owners manual. Late models have it right under the lid of the fuse box. hey my fuse panel fell off last winter out shopping and i have no idea which one is the fuse for the running lights. a picture of the panel would be very helpful It should be right on the plate that covers the fuses.

While switching my alternator i forgot to unplug the battery terminal which caused a spark Now my car wont start or even crank?

You probably blew your main fuse such as: ignition, main fuse, etc. check for blown fuses one by one underneath your dash and under your hood! Its always a good idea to disconnect your battery when ever working in the vicinity of electrical components!

How do you replace a fuse on the Toyota Corolla?

Depend on which one you want to replace, and why need to replace? It blew out...? Usually it last almost for ever or the life of the car. But if any one blew out, it must be a broken wire that use that fuse. Any way just pull out the one need to be replace and plug in the new one at the same rate to place. If it blow out again; it has a broken wire that touch ground. So it's good idea to check its wire before replace new fuse.
