It can be a good idea, but there are some things to take into mind. Firstly, it is not a good idea to get 2 males as they may feel they have to compete against each other. It is better to get a female. You should also make sure the adult dog is already socialised and will accept other dogs, especially with Staffies as they are not naturally dogs who love other dogs. When you do introduce the dogs, try to do it in a natural place, to make sure the adult dog does not feel territorial and tries to protect his/her territory when you bring the puppy home. It is also a good idea to walk to 2 dogs together as this makes them feel more as if they are part of the same pack and that can strenghten their bodn. However, 2 Staffies can live happily together provided they get lots of exercise and love.

How do i get papers for my staffordshire bull terrier?

You have to go to the breeder who actually bred the dog. If you bought it at a puppy store, then you're probably out of luck as they usually get their dogs from puppy mills.

Why would a Staffordshire bull terrier puppy have blue eyes and will they stay blue?

Some dogs do have blue eyes, mostly because of genetics and in that case it will stay blue.

Are Staffordshire bull terrier blue safe with kids?

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is known for its good temperament with children, earning it the nickname ''Nanny Dog''. I would recommend buying a puppy so that it can grow up around children and learns how to behave around them. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are naturally loving Dogs with people, but you must make sure to supervise children when around any Dog (regardless of breed) and make sure that they know how to handle Dogs properly. As long as you do this, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier can be a child's best friend. My Stafford lives with four children under the age of 12 and she has always been 100% reliable with them.

What a staff bull terare?

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a small to medium sized breed of Dog that was originally bred for vermin control. They come in red, blue, fawn, black, brindle or white, with or without white markings. The breed is excellent with people and children alike, but the breed needs socialization as a puppy so that it does not become dog aggressive. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves to go to the park to play with other dogs, so this breed can get on with other dogs fine if they are trained properly. They are very strong for their size and have unfortunately been the victim of lots of negative attention from the media. However, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has the highest pass rate (statistically best temperament) of ALL breeds of Dog based on tests performed by the American Temperament Test Society. It is widely agreed among dog owners and trainers that "No Breed Is More Loving With Its Family" than a Staffy. It is the ONLY breed to have been described as "Totally Reliable" in the Breed Standard. Because of their fondness for people, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is also one of only two breeds from over 190 recognised by the UK Kennel Club to have a mention of the breed's suitability with children.

Will a staffordshire bull terrier be ok to have with a one year old baby?

This depends on whether the Dog is used to children, as although the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is noted for its love of children and has been nicknamed ''The Nanny Dog'', this does not mean that a Dog that hasn't been brought up with children will be reliable. It is always better to buy a young puppy so that it can grow up with the child and learn to be tolerant with children. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is generally very friendly and good with kids, but it would be unwise to expect a Dog that has had no experience with children to adapt to life with one. As a general rule, NEVER leave a Dog alone with children unattended, no matter what breed it is. Rather than introducing an adult dog to the baby, get a puppy so that it can learn how to behave with children. I have had my Staffordshire Bull Terrier since she was eleven weeks old and she has grown up with four kids, and as a result is very tolerant and friendly towards them.

What type of food should you feed a Staffordshire bull terrier at 11 weeks old?

At this age it is most likely that the puppy would not be living with its mother anymore, otherwise it would still be feeding from its mother. At 11 weeks of age the puppy can start to eat puppy food that can be bought from vets or pet stores. It is best to not feed to puppy human food, but just the specialised pet food.

Can a 7yr old neuterd male staffordshire bull terrier be able to live with a 12week female English bull terrier safely togetherAsk us anything?

This introduction should only be considered if your current Dog has no Dog-on-Dog aggression issues. If your Stafford is generally good with other Dogs and wouldn't mind putting up with a boisterous young puppy jumping all over him then there is no reason why you couldn't try an introduction. The first meeting between your Staffy and the puppy should take place somewhere that your Staffy does not see as his territory, such as a local park. Let your Stafford smell the puppy and allow him to become comfortable around it. If he shows no sign of aggression and seems relaxed around it, then you could try taking them home together so that they both enter your home at the same time. You will have to keep a close eye on both Dogs to ensure everything is going smoothly for the next week or so. Make sure your Stafford still gets the same amount of attention and love that he was getting before so that he does not feel jealous of the new puppy who will undoubtedly be getting a lot of attention. Remember that at 7 years old your Staffy is becoming a senior and may not want a young puppy jumping on him all the time, so make sure that he gets some peace and quiet.

Is it a good idea to get another Stafford puppy when you have a 2 year old male staffy the puppy will be 6 weeks old Stafford?

This depends on how well you have socialized your existing male Staffy. Dogs of any breed can happily live together providing they have had plenty of socialization and training when they were young. Considering your existing Staffy is a male it would be wise to get a female puppy - which should be spayed to prevent litters. Do not get another male as conflict may ensue. Your existing Staffy would not be pleased if you brought another young male into ''his'' territory and expected them to get along. Introductions should be made in a neutral area, such as a local park, so that neither Dog is in the other's territory. If your male Staffy does start to show signs of conflict, you may want to consider haivng him neutered, both to prevent adding more puppies to an already over-bred breed, and to help calm him down. Neutering does not affect your Dog's personality, but would help him de-stress and become calmer. Good luck with introductions!
