Are Staffordshire bull terrier blue safe with kids?

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is known for its good temperament with children, earning it the nickname ''Nanny Dog''. I would recommend buying a puppy so that it can grow up around children and learns how to behave around them. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are naturally loving Dogs with people, but you must make sure to supervise children when around any Dog (regardless of breed) and make sure that they know how to handle Dogs properly. As long as you do this, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier can be a child's best friend. My Stafford lives with four children under the age of 12 and she has always been 100% reliable with them.

Are blue nose American staffordshires the same as blue nose pitbulls?

What types of Pit bull are there?

This question is rather open as it does not indicate what you mean by "type." Do you mean as in color? (e.g. red nose, blue nose, etc.) Do you mean by bloodline? (e.g. Greyline, Jeep, Gotti, etc.) Do you mean by use? (illegal gaming/fighting versus weight-pulling, obedience, etc.) Do you mean by its confusion with Staffordshire Terriers? Do you mean by its official classification? (dog registries, etc.) The American Pit Bull Terrier (herein referred to as APBT), contrary to the answers that were originally listed, is, indeed a breed of dog. The term "Pit Bull" does NOT apply to Dogo Argentino, Cane Corso, etc. Those dogs may have similar characteristics to APBT but are not the same dog. The Dogo Argentino is a dog that has a conglomeration of different breeds to create what it is today. As history would have it, the Staffordshire Terrier developed the APBT breed. There are true Staffordshire breeders out there, and the Staffordshire Terrier is the only "pit bull" type of dog recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC). History states that the Staffordshire created the APBT in that the Staffordshire was continued to be bred as it stands now, and branches of the Staffordshire spouted off for utility dogs becoming the APBT. There are different "types" of APBT, however. "Blue Nose Pit Bull" is not a breed. It's a Pit Bull exhibiting bloodline characteristics of a "blue nose." The same goes for a "red nose." Some of these characteristics are more prominent in certain bloodlines - as would characteristics for any other breed of dog. (Example - aka no such thing as a "John Smith bloodline." I am using this as an example statement: "John Smith bloodlines create a bigger head on dogs" or "Jane Doe dogs have more of a working drive than John Smith dogs.") NEW ANSWER The term "pitbull" usually refers to the following 3 breeds: 1. American Pitbull Terrier 2. American Staffordshire Terrier 3. What a staff bull terare?

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a small to medium sized breed of Dog that was originally bred for vermin control. They come in red, blue, fawn, black, brindle or white, with or without white markings. The breed is excellent with people and children alike, but the breed needs socialization as a puppy so that it does not become dog aggressive. I have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who loves to go to the park to play with other dogs, so this breed can get on with other dogs fine if they are trained properly. They are very strong for their size and have unfortunately been the victim of lots of negative attention from the media. However, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has the highest pass rate (statistically best temperament) of ALL breeds of Dog based on tests performed by the American Temperament Test Society. It is widely agreed among dog owners and trainers that "No Breed Is More Loving With Its Family" than a Staffy. It is the ONLY breed to have been described as "Totally Reliable" in the Breed Standard. Because of their fondness for people, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is also one of only two breeds from over 190 recognised by the UK Kennel Club to have a mention of the breed's suitability with children.

Can you get white Yorkshire terriers?

White is not a recognized colour for Yorkshire Terriers, as the Breed Standard stipulates that they should be black and tan, blue and tan, black and gold or blue and gold. This means that although it might be possible to breed a white Yorkshire Terrier puppy, it would be considered a fault.

How much does a staffie bull terrier cost?

I payed £250 for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier when she was a puppy, but she is not Kennel Club registered although she is pure. Kennel Club registered Staffies are usually a bit more because they have pedigree papers. However, blue coloured Staffies are the most expensive and I have not found one for less than £400.
