You could but it would be up to you, most clients say the piercing was nothing but a tugging and warm sensation. Not at all painful as some would expect. Check with your piercer before you take anything just to be on the safe side.

I would recommend that you save the pain killers for the post piercing discomfort. Some pain killers can cause bleeding which will pose a hazard to you and the piercer. Don't take anything without the piercer saying it's OK.

Which is worse the Monroe or the tongue piercing cause ive had my tongue pierced and i fainted so what is the Monroe like?

It is largely dependent on each person. My labret (usually said to be pretty much identical to a "monroe" pain wise) and my tongue were simple and painless, but I thought I was going to cry getting my nostril pierced. My sister fainted getting her philtrum (proper term for any upper lip piercing) but she was laughing and talking while getting her nostril pierced. There is no way to tell which will be worse for you, and a good piercer can make all the difference in the world.

Is it bad to makeout with a boy after getting your tongue pierced?

ummm it kinda depends if he knows what he is doing or not. EX. If your boyfriend isn't a good kisser he might bite your tongue and that will hurt. OR he might be great to you and but he might not really be use to the ball in his mouth. So it kinda depends if its comfortable for you....If your tongue feels good to you then I say go for it.

If you can get a tattoo and your nose pierced can you handle getting your tongue pierced?

Sure you can, after all the tongue is one of the least painful of all the piercings!!! Now I sure you will say, "How can you say that, mr. know-it-all TatuBaron, I know what it feels like when I just bite my tongue!!" But!!!! Where do you bite your tongue??? It is almost always on the side or tip of your tongue where you have lotsa pain nerve endings...And it's a good thing that you do as you would chew off your tongue during R.E.M. period of your sleep....Where it will be pierced will be in the middle where you have mostly taste bud nerve endings.......This does not, by any means, mean that your piercing there will be painless, but it wont be as bad as you are thinking........Hope this helps...TatuBaron

Is getting your tongue pierced safe?

As long as everything is sterile, and you relax your tongue and don't move it when they pierce it.By a good, safe, professional piercer? Yes. Otherwise - No. Some people's tongues may not be suitable (based on how their veins go, etc.) or the person him/herself might not be a good candidate (like if the person is a hemophiliac!) and a good piercer would refuse to pierce such a tongue/person.

What is the meaning of tongue piercing?

Many people pierce their tongues simply because they think it looks cool. For these people, it's no different than a pierced nose of pierced eyebrow. However, there are people out there who pierce their tongues for sexual reasons. Rumor has it that it feels good during oral sex. You never really know for sure what reason someone has a pierced tongue, and therefore you cannot really say for sure what it means. To do that, you would have to know the individual's motivation for getting the piercing. It means there is a hole through the tongue, probably with jewelry fitted into it. That is the only sure answer to this question since different people do it for different reasons, often with no thought to the significance.

When will your tongue stop being sore after your pierce your tongue?

Where is the cheapest place in Norman or Moore to get you tongue pierced?

My friend the cheapest place to get your tongue pierced is not the place you want to go, nor is the most expensive place either. Grab the phone book look up the number for your local health protection/inspection office and call them. They inspect all body piercing facilities before business licenses are issued, ask them which place has the cleanest reputation and health inspection That's the place to go to. Cheap piercings are not good and good piercings are not cheap.

What do you do 2 make your tongue stop hurting after you got it peirced?

This is probably late, but ice it right after you get it pierced. Don't suck on the ice, just let it melt on your tongue. Sucking it will make your tongue swell more. Try not to talk as much cause that makes your tongue swell as well. And try not to eat solid foods. Good luck! I got mine pierced a month ago and I love it now... Sure, it's a pain for the first two weeks but it's all good after like 3 weeks.

Is it a good thing to get your tongue pierced?

no ! its muscle it will never close !! I call BS on that answer. The tongue is actually one of the fastest to heal where piercings are concerned. It'll leave a pretty mean divot depending on how bad the swelling was when it was pierced, but mine healed up within 3 hours. As far as whether it's good or not, I loved it, but it will always be a matter of opinion, don't depend on other people to tell you what's good for you. If you like it, get it.
