They may do OK in physics, chemistry or engineering but it is unlikely that they will do particularly well.

In their career, there will be times when they need to write up reports on their work. Or they may need to "sell" their ideas for research funding, or for Business Finance. Their audiences will be busy people, receiving many such reports or applications and will not wish to spend time reading poorly presented work.
