Yes it is! Not only are you scaring prey animals...never a good thing, you are also endangering the lives of anybody who may be near them when the become scared. Not to mention it\'s just plain rude and mean!

Any object, even the most benign to us humans, that a horse is not familiar with, will scare it. It can be as simple as a plastic bag or a coat hanging on the fence.

They probably would, if they got the chance. Horses are quite similar to zebras after all, and lions eat plenty of zebras. But since horses are kept as pets, there are usually humans around to protect them and scare the lions off. So horse is not a regular thing on a lion's menu.
