It depends upon what you mean by "curse." If you are using God's name in vain (Or Jesus', if you are a Christian) then, yes.
Curse, as in "sht" --- does not reference God nor Jesus, therefore it wouldn't "be against God."
Added later: why does it matter?
Deuteronomy 28:15
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
Deuteronomy 28:45
Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
Deuteronomy 30:7
And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.
Malachi 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart
God will curse those who curse the Jews
No, it was Job's wife that told him to curse God. " Job 2:9 - Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!" [NKJV]
Cuss is frequently used as a synonym for curse. To curse someone is a category of blasphemy. All blasphemy is a grievous sin and a grave violation of charity towards God, frequently even of faith itself. To curse is a subcategory of blasphemy and involves invoking evil on someone. Imprecations of evil may be made directly against God, holy things, or persons, against rational creatures, against irrational creatures, and against the devil. Thus, if you curse God or rational creatures, and die with this sin unrepented, and unconfessed and unforgiven, then, yes, blasphemy is more than enough to send you to hell for eternity.a) To curse God or holy things is a form of blasphemy, as stated above.b) To curse rational creatures is normally contrary to charity or justice.c) To curse irrational creatures, such as the winds or horses, is general a venial sin of impatience. If these imprecations are uttered for a morally good purpose (v.g. in the course of an exorcism) then they are not sinful.d) To curse the devil as the enemy of God and men is lawful. But exclamations which in themselves are not sinful may become unlawful for incidental reasons, such as the danger of scandal.extracted from Handbook of Moral Theology, byDominic M. Prummer, O.P., translated from the Latin by Rev. Gerald W. Shelton, S.T.L., Roman Catholic Books, 1957
It will only work if you believe in it. No one can curse you or save you but God.
A curse.
The phrase "What God has blessed, no man can curse" is not a direct Bible verse but is related to the concept found in Numbers 23:8, where Balaam speaks about God's protection over the people of Israel. It is a popular saying that reflects the belief in God's ultimate protection and blessings.
In the book of Job in the Bible, Job's wife tells him to "curse God and die."Job 2:9 - Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!" [NKJV]
"Students should not curse in school as it is disrespectful and against the rules."
Yes, it is. Because you're de-sensitizing yourself to that, music goes directly to your soul, and that's God's place, not the devils.
To rail against is to curse, revile and assail against something. To rail against the wind is to go up against, curse, revile and fight against a worthless adversary. The wind is a fleeting and meaningless cause. The wind has no substance and a rail against it is a rail aganst nothingness, to fight and curse a meaningless cause.
This is a foolish question. Read your bible especially the first five books, the torah. God told moses what to write in genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers and deuteronomy. God will bless those who bless his people and he will curse those who curse them. Be careful. Very careful god chose the israelites/hebrews to worship and serve him
Hermaphrodism is a natural phenomenom, even in humans. If it is regarded as a curse, then whether or not God is real, it seems quite irreligious to blame him.
