You will have to check with a local lawyer to be sure, since some states may have a law that says it is illegal, though I have never heard of one. You don't have to hide it, just keep it on private property and make sure the property owner does not give consent for anyone to come on the property and tow it away. The owner should call the police if someone trespasses on the property.
Why would they NOT be able to repo a car they purchased the title to? READ your contract.
Call the loan company and ask them. If you are up to date on your loan you have a case against them.
Yes, they would obviously know about it. When a title loan company offers you a title loan, it will check the car title well in advance. When it checks the title, it will easily come to know about any liens.
No. You don't get the title to your car until any loans against it are paid in full. <><><> In several states, you will get a title document- but it will show the loan company or bank as a lienholder. That title cannot be transferred to someone else until the lien is satisfied (loan paid off)
Why don't you ask the company that provides the loans? I suspect your wife would need to get the loan and you would be a co-signer. The loan is against the car title. Still, I am only familiar with the rules of one company in one state 20 years ago!
My texas cash out loan did not close according to the texas constitution can i make a claim against my title company
Not without a release from the loan company.
Auto cash title loans do not put a lien on your car. What happens is you surrender the title to the loan company and they give you cash. If you fail to pay back the loan, they have the title and are now able to legally come and take your vehicle.
Yes i can
No they can not!
A clear title for that car.
That would be theft of vehicle.
