- If the brother and his wife's divorce is finalized she is free to marry anyone even her spouse's brother. However, it would not be wise to do so as children come first and the child would be confused. It is also a high risk the two brothers may part company because of hard feelings. Nothing should come between two loving siblings ... not even a woman in this case. If the divorced brother doesn't care it would be wise to move to another town, but family gatherings for special occasions would be difficult.
