It is not particularly against the rules unless you are doing it deliberately as a form of vandalism. Instead, you should edit the questions if they were asked wrong or flag the answer if it is abusive or doesn't answer the question. You could also go to the talk page and clarify your intent if the answers you get are not applicable to why you are asking. You can even contact the contributors if you don't like their answers, as long as you keep it civil.

There are site vandals who keep posting many similar nonsense questions. The most notorious one is known by supervisors as the "Object Vandal" because all of their initial questions contained the word "object." The questions are clearly nonsense and are all very similar to one another. This type of activity is against the rules.

What questions should be removed from WikiAnswers?

Many questions should be removed from WikiAnswers, but when it is removed from the data bases completely, people can just ask it again. There is a category called the 'Catch-All' category, and every question in it is the storage question to all answers that shouldn't belong on WikiAnswers. This category of questions has storage questions from having not enough information, to relating to cyberbullying.

Does this website avoid certain questions?

Yes, WikiAnswers chooses to avoid certain questions, but we don't exactly 'avoid' them. We put them away somewhere so they can never be asked again. Questions involving too little information, illegal acts how-to, or anything else will be put away to never be asked again.

Are inappropriate questions on WikiAnswers deleted?

Only questions that are potentially harmful (e.g. contain a full name of a non-celebrity, telephone number etc.) or are very unlikely to be asked again (such a repeatedly using SPAM words in the question title) are deleted. Questions that are inappropriate for the site but may be asked again are placed into a Catch-All Category. For more information on the Catch-All Categories, please see the Related Question below "What are the Catch-all categories on WikiAnswers?"

Why have you merged some legitimate questions into 'What questions add no value to WikiAnswers'?

As with most any endeavor, mistakes are bound to happen on occasion. If you notice a legitimate question has been merged into a catch-all, please e-mail WikiAnswers @ Answers.com with the exact question and the reason you believe it is acceptable. We will consider it for inclusion on the site again as a normal question.

How come the Little Boots category on WikiAnswers has been deleted?

It didn't have very many questions, and it wasn't growing, so we removed it. If we start getting a lot of questions about this, and it is something that the community is participating in, then we would be happy to consider making it again in the future.

How do you finish a answer in WikiAnswers?

you have to search and type the answer again sorry

Does WikiAnswers actually know the answer to any questions at all?

Yes. WikiAnswers is made up of people like you and me. But it depends on who answers the question. There are some who don't give a good answer, and then there are people who truly do their best to answer a question. I would say, if someone doesn't like the answer they got, then rephrase the question and ask it again.

Will WikiAnswers ever reach a point where there will be no more questions to ask?

Since WikiAnswers' questions are wiki as well (WikiQuestions!) and duplicates are merged together, there are far fewer new questions here than on other Q&A websites. On those sites the same questions get asked over and over again. Here, a question only needs to be asked once. So, is there a limited number of new questions? There is definitely a limited number of common, popular questions. For example, "When did World War 2 start?" was asked and answered a long time ago. Even though new people come here asking that question every day, it will never again be a new question. However, knowledge is unlimited, and therefore the possibilities for new questions is unlimited. For a crude example, "What news events happened on August 28 2007 in San Diego California?" is a fair question. So yes, there will come a day when most - if not all - general knowledge questions will be answered, but you can always come out with new questions. Hopefully, therefore, WikiAnswers will never run out of new questions.

What is a poor question on WikiAnswers?

This can range from a question that does not make any sense to the user, does not contain enough information to answer the question, adds no value to the site, or is designed to cyberbully a user or a celebrity. Such questions are often trashed or reworded to make them better to answer, and the user who asked such questions warned to not do it again.
