Usually not. But if you are helping people to the point of hurting yourself (and eventually lessening your ability to help others) than that is bad.
It depends on who you are helping and what you are helping with. For example, if you are helping someone to eat because they are starving, it will undoubtedly be seen as good, but if you are helping someone to take the life of another then it will more than likely be a terrible assistance. Also, sometimes helping can change from good to bad. An example can be helping someone by giving them a place to stay because they may have lost their job and home. While in the beginning you are giving them a chance to get back on their feet, after some time, if they refuse to try and choose to live off the one helping them, that's when the helping can become a bad thing. By simply letting them believe they don't have to better themselves and their situation, the helping turns into enabling.
