Alcohol is poisonous to your body - this is why you get that weird feeling when you drink it. Drinking one beer once in a while is usually OK - so long as you are a legal adult. You can be arrested for drinking at your age, however, and it's not a good idea to start drinking this early in your life. Kids are more likely to get hooked on stuff like alcohol and drugs, so it's best just to stay away from it.

I think it depends on peoples' various circumstances. Certainly you CAN'T drink everyday! I have Neuropathy from Cipro and I drink about a 6 pack of light beer every weekend or every other weekend. I was NEVER a heavy drinker and get buzzed pretty quickly and I am on a heavy vitamin regiment of B vitamins, so I think that helps me quite a bit in making the alcohol less harmful. In the 8 months since I had PN (peripheral Neuropathy) I really haven't noticed any damage from my alcohol consumption (though my limit for any weekend is about 6 Light Beers) If I could quite completely I would, but dealing with pain is hard, so getting some social drinking in is very tempting. The key, in my opinion, is don't over-do it - AND make sure you're taking your B vitamins!
