Any systolic pressure over 130 is reaching a danger zone. At a sustained Bp of 146 it can cause a hemorrhagic stroke. The diastolic 98 is too high as well. Whereas it should be between 55 and 70.
Ask your doctor, i have seen 45 year old patients post op with that exact blood pressure and the doctor simply said "I know"; other patients get IV meds stat and are sent to the cardiac floor.
This is a very high BP level. You need to see your Doctor.
Blood pressure of 174 over 103 is borderline between Hypertension stage 2 and Hypertensive Crisis. You should definitely get yourself checked out by a doctor.
No!it is not dangerous , if u take care and leve your tensoin.
No, actually its quite a good bp for your age. I would be worried if your diastolic was above 95-100 but its not so don't worry.
no
Low diastolic blood pressure can indicate heart problems, endocrine problems, dehydration, allergies, blood loss, infection, or pregnancy. It can cause dizziness and fainting.
If you're healthy, then it will be between 100/70 and 120/80.
False. The MAP should bbe around 75 mmHg.
PP = SBP - DBP Pulse Pressure equals Systolic Blood Pressure minus Diastolic Blood Pressure. If you have a patient whose presents with blood pressure of 140/78, you calculation would be: PP = 140 - 78 PP = 62 PP = SBP - DBP Pulse Pressure equals Systolic Blood Pressure minus Diastolic Blood Pressure. If you have a patient who presents with a blood pressure of 140/78, you calculation would be: PP = 140 - 78 PP = 62
98/55 with a pulse of 62 beats a minute is a healthy heart. That is an almost excellent blood pressure. You actually want to keep your numbers around that to have a good blood pressure. Remember to still eat healthy... Lots of fruits and veggies to keep your numbers good. Dr. J. Deese
Yes that is too high. It is considered to be Stage 1 Hypertension. You should see your doctor.
it's great!
What is the Normal blood pressure rate for 82 year old man? Answer: 170/110
Normal systolic from 121-147 Normal diastolic from 83-91
Most doctors and health care physicians would prefer for both males and females to have a blood pressure of 120 over 80 or lower. The higher your blood pressure is, the higher chance you have for a possible heart attack or stroke. To put simply, your blood pressure is how much pressure your heart is pumping in order to distribute the blood throughout your body. Certain foods can alter your blood pressure. For example: When you eat foods that are high in salt, the salt pulls more water into your blood, watering down your blood concentration, so there is less blood coursing through your veins. This make your heart pump harder to send more blood.
The average blood pressure should be 120/80 as the optimum. With seniors and with other people who may have issues of lower or higher blood pressure, the best thing to do is to check with the doctor, as there may be a norm for each patient that is different than the 120/80.
Most definitely. Blood pressure measurements are taken with the person seated, at rest. If you are not being monitored for high rate exercise such as would occur with a competition cyclist, then your blood pressure should fall within 150/80 and preferably lower. A reading such as described in a 30 year old person would require investigation as to the cause.
