Absolutely...Any medication should not be taken unless prescribed by your 'OWN' doctor. There are many medications that shouldn't be taken by people on other medications...Example: People taking certain heart meds shouldn't take valium. People taking certain Ace Inhibitors shouldn't take certain meds...I just read that patches fentanyl is 75% to 100% stronger than morphine (oxicontin) as released in patches

Fentanyl binds only the mu receptor and does so approximately 75 to 100 times stronger than morphine. It reaches its peak blood level in 3 to 6 hours in cats but may require a full 12 hours in dogs to reach its full effect. After removal, fentanyl blood levels drop to zero within 24 hours. Patches last at least 4 days in pet

The most serious potential side effect is respiratory depression (i.e., not breathing adequately). This is a rare problem but if unusual weakness or drowsiness is observed, the patch may be creating a stronger effect than expected. The patch may be removed if there is any concern. This effect could become a significant risk if the patch is exposed to heating (electric blankets, sitting near a heater vent, heated water bed etc.) The patch may be toxic if swallowed.

Will 100mg of seroquel put you to sleep?

Seroquel should ONLY be taken according to your prescription. A person on Seroquel needs to take their meds the way that they're supposed to, in the time frame that they are supposed to, to keep a steady level of the drug in the body. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic, and not a sleep aid. The important thing is, if you are on Seroquel, you need to take it properly. Don't just stop taking it; you need to be "weaned off". And if it is not your prescription, you should NOT take it. Anti-psychotic drugs taken by a person who doesn't need it can be dangerous, including having long-term permanent effects such as Tardive Diskinesia. Actually Seroquel IS prescribed by a lot of doctors as a sleep aid. It's an anti psychotic medication that can be used to help you sleep. I have a prescription for it as a sleep aid myself actually.

Is it illegal to pass seroquel to another person?

As with any prescription medication, it is illegal and dangerous to give Seroquel to a person to whom it has not been prescribed. There are some major side effects, some which cannot be treated, and one should be under a doctor's care when taking this or any prescription medication.

Can you take Lortab with seroquel?

I know an older lady who is actually prescribed 40mg x 3 plus 200mg of Seroquel, but I would NOT recommend doing this. She has been taking these medications for years, and unless your doctor gives the okay, do NOT mix these. Seroquel will knock you on your ass, and not in a good way.

What are the effects of combining Wellbutrin with seroquel?

Yes you can. I take 400 mg seroquel and 300 mg bupropion daily and I feel fine. However, both medications lower the threshold for seizures. When you take them together, this means that the chance that you will have an epileptic seizure will be bigger. Be careful with alcohol.

How many seroquel should an 18 year old take?

As many as your doctor prescribes for you. If it isn't prescribed, none. Seroquel is a medication with many side effects and should only be used if you and your doctor decide there are clear benefits that outweigh the potential risks. -A social worker who works closely with psychiatrists (Seroquel is a psych drug!).
