I had the same problem and it was a bad starter.
Underneath, back of engine, passenger side.
your starter might be stuck on
On a 1994 Ford Bronco, the starter is located on the driver's side of the engine, near the transmission bell housing. It can be accessed from underneath the vehicle, typically requiring you to remove the protective splash shield if present. The starter is mounted to the engine block and connected to the battery and ignition system.
Replace starter solenoid? Could be a bad neutral safety switch
* Disconnect the negative battery cable * Remove the air intake duct and the air cleaner housing assembly from the engine compartment * Disconnect the battery cable and the solenoid terminal connection from the starter solenoid * Remove the starter motor mounting bolts and detach the starter from the engine
yes
The starter is hard to get at under the fuel lines and junk on the drivers side of the engine compartment. I had mine done by a mechanic because it was to difficult for me to get at.
probably. If they are both OEM, they are interchangeable
I have a 1990 bronco 2, but i just had my starter rebuilt. it was relatively simple. its located underneath the engine. sort of close to the cab. but there are two bolts that connect it to the bronco. then there is a bolt that connects a wire to it. first disconnect you battery though
