Is it good to beat your children?

Most people would recommend you find another way to discipline the child. Time out, grounding, removal of privileges, etc... Physical abuse can damage not only the body of a child but their heart, mind and ability to trust. As a parent, would you think it appropriate for your child to flinch every time you raise your hand? I think not.

Physical disipline and beating are two completely separate things - physical disipline may only be spanking; but beating is child abuse, and is not only unnecessary, it's illegal.

Sometimes parents have reasons to be mad at their children, although the reasons that the parents have should NOT be bad enough to feel the need to beat their children. Parents may over-think a situation that happened, to the level of wanting to beat their children, although there is no reason that should be bad enough to lead to beating their children. On the other hand, some parents do not have any reasons to beat their children. Parents will sometimes take out their own anger and frustration on their kids by beating them up. Obviously, neither one of these situations is a good reason to beat their kids. I am completely against child abuse, and even if the parent is upset either at their children, at themselves, or even at someone out of the family, they should not take it out on their children.
