No, it is not good to eat and then lift weights. That is a recipe for vomiting if you are training with sufficient intensity. Wait at least an hour after eating before doing weight training. Your blood cannot be in two places at once. To digest food well, you need it servicing your digestive system; to do strength training well, you need it servicing your skeletal muscles.
