Unless you're doing it for the purposes of commiting some kind of illegal sexual act, then no, it's not.
My guess is that you've heard of the Mann Act and are worried.
You shouldn't be. It was never intended to apply to you (unless prostitution, rape, or some other actual crime is involved), and has been amended now so that it probably doesn't.
The specific wording of the act made it a felony to transport "any woman or girl" across state lines "for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose."
Note that it doesn't specify "minor". The intended purpose was to make human trafficking illegal regardless of age. However, "immoral purpose" was vague enough that a lot of prosecutors chose to apply it pretty broadly to prosecute behavior they personally disapproved of, and in a lot of those cases the fact that a minor was involved became important.
For example, if a 19-year-old male and a 17-year-old female from a state where the age of consent was a hard 18 went to a neighboring state where the age of consent was lower or there was a "Romeo and Juliet" exception and there had perfectly legal, consensual sex, a procesutor in their home state could charge the male with violation of the Mann act and the female, if she went voluntarily, could be charged as an accomplice.
However, the law has been amended. It's now gender-neutral and "immoral purpose" has been replaced with language making the original intent much more explicit.
Yes, it is illegal to transport a minor without the parent's permission. A person could possibly be charged with kidnapping for taking a minor anywhere with parental consent.
Under circumstances unrelated to relocation.
your parents would be VERY mad at you and you and you would get consequences that will make you sorry
No on the contrary its illegal I advice you to take the minor back because you are pretty much screwed already and avoid more felonies. ps. you are going to jail for kidnaping
No and it is also illegal to cross state lines without parents consent/permission.
no
Depends on which country you're talking about
Minors below the age of 16 are not allowed to get married in Oklahoma without a court order.
Most gyms do not allow minors to workout without being accompanied by an adult for legal reasons. You can try the YMCA. They may allow you to attend alo0ne age of 16 if there is a family membership.
No. Minors cannot leave the US without written, notarized permission from the custodial parent(s) or legal guardian. Minors who cross state lines without parental consent are in violation of federal law 18 USC 2243-18 USC 2423 and can be taken into custody and remanded to juvenile authorities of the minor's home state. Minors who left the US illegally for such a purpose would not be considered legally married when they returned.
Minors can not gamble, period. The legal gambling age in the US is either 18 or 21, no exceptions.
It's perfectly legal for adults to elope. It's not legal for minors to runoff (absent from home without parental permission) or to get married without parental consent.
In most cases, minors can write an adult book because there are no age restrictions on writing. However, publishing a book may require parental permission or involve legal considerations related to contracts and copyrights.
There are no rights or responsibilities. The minor is now considered an adult capable of making their own decisions.
No, they are still minors.
in extreme cases yes but mostly no.
The is 18, when you are a legal adult.
You do not have to be an adult to have your work published. There are plenty of minors who have their books on the market. However, you do have to have a parent or legal guardian willing to represent you when entering into any sort of legally binding contracts.
