In Massachusetts, individuals must be at least 18 years old to legally move out of their parent or guardian's home without their consent. However, a 17-year-old may be able to emancipate themselves through the court system if they can demonstrate that they are financially independent and capable of living on their own. It is recommended to seek legal advice in this situation.
