Absolutely, yes it is naive.

A Christian would say Jesus is the only way to heaven, a Roman might have said it was Zeus.

An intelligent, thinking person must keep in mind that there might not even be a god, and that perhaps the search is not for god at all!

That depends on whether you think Jesus is a liar, a lunatic, or God. Jesus cannot be just a good man who gave people wise advice about how to live, because He said "I and my Father are one" John 10:30 and "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.

Each time Jesus claimed to be God, the Pharisees attempted to stone Him because that was the penalty for blasphemy. Finally, He was crucified for claiming to be God. If He were not God, that would make Him a lunatic! And if He was just lying, He was a fool.

But it didn't end there. Jesus rose from the dead. There is enough evidence to prove it in a court of law--500 witnesses, no body. See the book New Evidence That Demands a Verdict.

It is naive to think we can believe whatever we want and it will be allright with God. It's His way or eternal suffering. He is God. ANOTHER VIEW

No, it is not naive to believe Christ is the only way to GOD, it is the TRUTH. The only way to GOD is through Our Lord Jesus Christ and no other way. HE is the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father but by Him. GOD made one way to Himself, and that is through His grace and mercy by the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ. Without trusting HIM and turning from sin, no man is saved.
