I would really say no because that is a huge age difference.
It is not abnormal because the age difference is so close, however as a 14 year olds maturity is likely to be different than a 17 year olds you should stick to being friends, any kind of sexual contact/play should be avoided. There are some legal issues involved here. Act responsibly !

∙ 15y agoYes, it is normal - I know someone who is currently going out with a fourteen year old girl, and he is seventeen. They are an amazing couple and hardly ever have any awkwardness. Therefore, I can safely say it is normal, but there may be some talk about it, and thus making them feel uncomfortable and anxious about being seen together. However, if you really like this girl/or love her then yes, it is normal. Nothing should get in the way of a good couple who are really into each other!!
