Whoa it is Ridiculous to jump to the conclusion that the dog has a heart problem. I have fostered dozens of puppies and almost all of them have panted in their sleep. And they are all fine. They didn't pant excessively during the day so you might want to ask about that. Puppies change temp more qyuckly than adult dogs. Their metabolisms are going nuts while growing so if he is hydrated and cool enough I wouldny worry

∙ 11y agoI have reared several boxer puppies and have a 10 week old bitch at the moment. She has frequent long naps during the day, lasting an hour or two interspersed with manic play sessions. Other boxers have taken shorter naps, all entirely normal. They are growing very fast and need a lot of sleep.
