Even if you joined the Imperials, you can switch sides by doing the Jagged Crown quest, delivering the crown to the Stormcloaks. However if you've already completed it in favour of the Imperials, then there's no way to switch sides.
You can start the Jagged Crown quest, and take the crown to the leader of the opposing faction. So instead of returning the crown to Ulfric, take it to General Tullius instead. However once you complete that quest, that's the point of no return.
The only opportunity to change your mind is at the end of the quest 'The Jagged Crown', if you chose Stormcloak but prefer now to support the Legion, you can take the crown to Solitude, to General Tullius, who will accept it from you and you will then follow the Legion's missions for the remainder of the civil war quest line.
I've used various console codes to try to fix the Blood on the Ice bugged questline, including ones that resurrected dead characters and changed the status of a quest's completion. This did not disable any achievements.
It's a bug, you'll need to reload from a prior save and try the fight again. If that doesn't work, you'll need to reload from a prior save *before* you took the quest and start the quest over again entirely.
The newer Crown Vics have anti-lock brakes and air bags and much better power and handling than the 1980s models, so the answer is NO, they are not safer.
It means CROWN OF BEAUTY He will hold you aloft in His hands for all to soe; a splendid crown for the King of Kings.
Try changing the thermostat.
The 1995 and newer Crown Vics don't have normal flashers, they have a Lighting Control Module (LCM) that contains relays which control the flashing.
