I had mine for almost 3 weeks straight about 2 weeks after getting the shot. It wasnt a regular period but yet still a period. I was suppose to get the shot again March 15th..it is now the 25th without getting another shot...I'm having horrible cramps with the same period I had in the beginning, so for now I'm guessing until it "wears off" that my period will be irregular.
No
Provera is often given both to encourage the uterine lining to shed, and as a diagnostic tool to find out why the period is late. Lack of bleeding after finishing a round of Provera is not normal, and needs to be reported to the prescriber so that you can take the next diagnostic step together.
In my experience I was on the shot for atleast 3years and I never had a normal period either. In fact I didn't have a period at all. You may just be having your period and it has not been normal so I think you need to go to the doctor.
Yes, you can start a normal menstrual period in the middle of a Provera prescription. Depending on your particular body and cycle, you can start your period at any point in the prescription. As your body adjusts to the medication, the flow will become lighter and often stops completely.
i fell pregnant eleven months after my last injection of depo and had not yet had a period(since last injection) so was not using any protection so be aware unless you wish to have a child doctor told me upto to twelve months before normal cycle would return
After your last Depo-Provera shot, it will take roughly three months to have your first period. As soon as you resume having your periods, ovulation should return to normal as well.
Yes, you can get depo provera on the fifth day of your period. If you start within the first seven days of your period, Depo Provera is immediately effective.
Yes the Provera worked. It doesn't matter how long your period lasted for all that matter is your period came after the use of provera.
yes.i was on depo for a year.as soon as i got it for the 1st time then next month i stopped having my period.then when i got off it the next month i started my period back like normal
If you have a normal period with normal flow you are not pregnant
Bleeding on Depo Provera is not a sign that it's not effective.
It is highly unlikely to get pregnant on the depo provera. And if you are worried because you have not had a period in two months that is normal for the depo shot. It is made to stop your period
