oh my god no! usually it comes early.
That's not true. Some people starts late. With me I began taking the sugar pills on Sunday and my period don't come until Friday. Happens every month.
I have been taking Ortho-tri-cylen Lo for about 7 months, and I am occasionally late for my period. Last month I did not start my period until after the 3rd green "sugar" pill. I do not know how common this is, or why it happens, but it does. It makes me very nervous when I am late, I wish the pill made you start your period the same time every month:(
Hello! I have had the same problem as well. I am taking Alesse21 and have been for four months, and am late on my period for the first time. I am on my third sugar pill but still have not started bleeding. It's definitely worrying, but has it caused you any problems? If not I don't think you should worry. Perhaps some months it just takes a little while longer for your body to process the hormonal withdrawal. Honestly I have no idea what could cause a late period on Birth Control, but I am hoping that is it because I better not be pregnant!
On the pill you don't get a period as such...
Hormonal birth control works by suppressing your menstrual cycle so that you no longer ovulate, and thus you no longer menstruate either. The bleeding you get on the pill is a withdrawal bleed caused by the drop in synthetic hormones when going from active to inactive pills. If you're new to the pill or a particular brand of pill then it is normal to experience irregular bleeding while your body adjusts to the pill. If you're seeing unusual bleeding (such as a late withdrawal bleed) after three months or more on the pill then talk to your doctor as you may need to change brand.
If you took too many pills or just started taking BCP then this is normal.
If you just started taking birth control your periods are going to be irregular for the first few months. But it is possible to still get pregnant on the pill.
Yes you can, but if you haven't been taking your pill everyday you may have a problem.
Yup, very normal
No.
No, when going off birth control your body takes a little bit to get used to it and it is very normal to have irregular periods for awhile.
if you aren't terribly late, it could possibly be normal. yasmin is also designed to help make periods easier in addition to birth control. periods may be slightly late since they will be less painful and shorter.
NO it is not
Yes.
about three days into your 'white' section of your pills is still normal
no its not bad. its normal. to get them late isnt normal
you probably won't have regular periods for a few years - if ever. some adults still have irregular periods and have to go on birth control in order to regulate them. unfortunately, your will be very unpredictable (late, early, long, short, heavy, light) for a while. so don't worry, there is nothing wrong with you, it's normal!
Most kinds of birth control will regulate your period, but will not make them 100% predictable. You can still have spotting and periods that start a few days early, or a few days late. However, if this early period is a heavier than normal flow for you, and/or if you experience very painful cramping, you should contact your doctor.
Yes. As directed by all doctors and on the instruction labels of all birth control pills, you are supposed to take your birth control everyday and at the same time. If you take your birth control at different times everyday, it is not allowing the birth control to adapt in your body the way it is supposed to and it decreases the effectiveness of the birth control as well. Some side effects of taking your pill at different times of each day may include: pregnancy, late/irregular periods, and spotting or breakthrough bleeding.
Many things can delay your period such as: * Pregnancy * Irregular periods * Hormonal imbalance * Stress * Illness * Missing birth control
I stopped taking my birth control in December and in January I came on my period but in february I didnt come is this normal
It may, especially if your periods were irregular before you went on the birth control pill. You can expect your period sometime between the regular time and two weeks late. After that, you should be back on track. Take a pregnancy test if you've had unprotected intercourse.
