Is it normal to have dark red spotting which show when wiped with towel paper instead of the usual brown spotting on pantyliner at the end of period?

I believe the blood you are seeing on the pad is darker because it has been exposed to the air longer. When you are wiping with the toweling, you are getting 'fresher' blood that's just been expelled from your body. Both are normal. (This is why if you 'leak' onto your panties, its reddish at first, but dark brown later when it's completely dried).>But you should check with your gynecologist at your next appt.- if you don't have one, get one! There are vital tests every women over 16 should have at least once a year! Good luck & good health to you!
