Is it normal to skip a period?

If you have regular periods, it is not normal to skip the periods. I will always like to do the urine test for pregnancy, periodically, say weekly. I may prescribe some progesterone preparation in undue prolonged periods in such patients. But it is common to skip the periods without any known cause or due to some psychological stress. Some times the patients is too eager to get the pregnancy. It is common to have skipped periods in such patients. They may not have the pregnancy in such case.

Do you hit your period at 12?

Twelve is a perfectly normal age to start your periods. If you're just starting, it may be a while before your periods settle down into a regular cycle. You may experience simple spotting (very light bleeding) at times and a heavy flow at others. This is normal for the most part, unless you have continuous bleeding for longer than seven days, in which case you should see a doctor.

How many times is a beam of light refracted when it passes through a triangular prism?

A beam of light is typically refracted twice when it passes through a triangular prism. The first refraction occurs as the light enters the prism and bends toward the normal due to the change in medium from air to glass. The second refraction happens when the light exits the prism, bending away from the normal as it moves from glass back into air.
