The Rosary is from the exact same source as The Bible: they are both from the Church, so they both have the same approval. And they are both about Our Blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, and they may both be used for prayer and meditation. By the way, the notion that everything must be found in the Bible is a notion from the protestant heresy, and has been condemned specifically by the Church as nonsense. The Bible, itself, says that if everything that Jesus did was written down the world itself could not contain all the books.
