It depends on who you ask and what dating means to you. In most states, a legal adult (a person over 18) won't be charged with any crime related to Age of Consent - or sexual relations with a minor (a person under 18) if they are close to the same age, say 18 and 17. Some states (a few) the age of consent is 16 or 17.
Before I would consider consenting to my child dating a person so much older, I would question why this person isn't dating someone their own age.
NO, that's statutory rape.
31 year old & 17 year old, why? If there's sex invlolved then the 31 year old should be locked up for a long time. This is true in any state.
Umm... no
Not until you legally turn 18.
Yes, unless your parents say no, then no. Everything is parental consent from 16+ until you're 18. GL <3
If you are 18 you are a legal adult. You may date anyone over the age of 18 that will have you.
There really isn't a problem with it. There are no laws about dating ages, so it is legal to date. There are laws about sexual activity and depending on the state, this is probably not an issue either. In most places you have to be at least 16 to consent, if not 17 or 18. Some states have exceptions for close in age, measured by days, not the years.
Yes very much so, especially if they intend for it to be a sexual relationship.
Amey Date is 31 years old (birthdate: March 31, 1979).
hell no theirs a thing called the mind what are they going to talk about
Yes, it is illegal in New York for a 17-year-old to have sexual relations with a 31-year-old under statutory rape laws. The age of consent in New York is 17, but there are exceptions for individuals under the age of 17 engaging in sexual activity with individuals who are significantly older.
That's possible if "Today" is Jan. 1st., and Jenny has her birthday on Dec. 31. In that case, on Dec. 30 she was 17 years old, on Dec. 31 she turned 18, this year she turns 19, and next year she turns 20.
