youb should never cook a turkey at 450. you can start it at 400 for the first 20 minutes yen cut your heat to 325-350f. cover the breast area loosely with foil right as you cut the heat down. your turkey will have a crispy skin and be juicy on the inside. make sure to put and keep a good 1 1/2 inches of water or chicken stock in the bottom during cooking
450
No it is not.
450 degrees is too hot to cook a turkey because it will become dry. If you are cooking it in the oven, follow the directions on the plastic packaging that comes around your turkey. Usually about 350 degrees is better because you want to cook a turkey slow until the fork goes in easily about 5 to 8 hours of cooking time, unless you are deep frying it then that is a different procedure.
about 1 1/2 hours @ 450 degrees
your turkey would be ok for a pretty long time. i have a friend that works in a food factory and he told me that it would last about 7-8 weeks.
If it has been kept below 40°F, it should be OK.
It is still fine to stuff the turkey, you just have to make sure-stuffed or not--that the internal temperature of the turkey is right. Usually the packaging of the turkey will tell you the internal tmeperature needed and will tell you how long to cook the turkey stuffed and not stuffed.
