The moose has a "split hoof" and "chews the cud" [like a cow, deer, elk, etc: see Lev.11:3]. So, yes... a moose is a "clean" meat [healthy] fit for human consumption.
It is said: "You are what you eat." Your body assimilates that which you eat, and you BECOME whatever you eat. Therein lies the majority of man's health problems, when his modern processed, preservative-[poison]-added diet consists of "garbage" -- things unfit for human consumption.
In this regard, vegetarians have a valid argument... in that God made vegetables and fruits filled with healthy nutrients and things that provide "robust health" to the human body. So, when you eat healthy vegetables and fruits: you BECOME the healthy fruits and vegetables.
But God, in His Wisdom, also created "animals" that "eat only fruits and vegetables"... the flora of the earth. Animals that display a combination of both "split-hooves" and "chew the cud": like moose, deer, cows, etc..
So it is, then, that when, according to our Creator's "approved list of clean, healthy, edible animals"... we consume these animals... you BECOME whatever it was that they ate -- HEALTHY VEGETABLES!
All other animals that eat... anything and everything; like vultures, pigs and other creatures that serve as a type of "natural recycling system" for the earth's environment... creatures that eat vile, dead, diseased, decomposing things [other dead animals, even human remains]. And when these animals are consumed by man... then men BECOME whatever it was that these creatures ate; vile, corrupted and diseased creatures.
So, dress out your moose, process it into steaks, roasts, trail links and jerky... and thoroughly enjoy the blessing God has provided, with the clearest and healthiest of conscience.
