no only leve it in till it doesn't need the mothers milk or it will get murdered or eaten alive
Yes, Syrian hamsters (golden hamsters) were thought to be extinct until a man found a mother and her litter.
You should not let hamsters live together. Syrian hamsters are solitary creatures, though, while dwarfs are more social. You could let them live together, though, if they are of the same gender and preferably, of the dwarf variety. Though, at one time, I had two male, Syrian hamsters, who were brothers, living in the same cage, and they never fought.
no
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no way!!!!! syrian hamsters must definatly live ALONE. if they are put together they will definatly fight and could kill each other. if the mother has died or is ill, or has rejected them, then depending on how old the babies are, you may be able to hand rear them. seek vet advice for this.
No! They need to stay with the mother until they are weaned at about 21 days (for dwarf hamsters) and 28 days for syrian's. They need that time with their mothers.
The best place to get any hamster is at a reputable pet store such as PetsMart. You never know if a hamster will be nice until you get it home.
Yes my hamsters live together and my father and sons hamsters do aswel, but I think I have been able to do this as the are Campbell's hamsters and were introduced at a young and met in a box regularly
No I don't think it is a good idea, teddy bear hamsters are very aggressive toward each other and they would propely fight to the death. and you don't want them to get hurt so don't put them together!!!
Female Syrian hamsters can get pregnant every 4 days as they have a very short reproductive cycle. However, it is not recommended to continuously breed them as it can lead to health issues and stress on the mother and offspring. It is best to allow the female to rest between pregnancies.
Baby hamsters can be with its Mother hamster until they are 3 to weeks old. If you see them fighting between 3 to 4 weeks separate them immediately. when they are 4 weeks babies will e matured to mate and make more babies! Matured hamsters should be left alone in the cage to avoid fighting and can put together only for breeding purposes. Only when the Female is in heat. Female will freeze when you rub its back, this is how ou know that she is in heat :)
Yes, most likely when a mother has babies.Only some others like older ones are just aggressive. So make sure if you want 2 in one cage make sure they are social and are a non-aggressive species. When you have baby hamsters with a mother it is best for you to not touch them. Your smell will stick to the baby hamsters. The mother will become frightened and will attack the baby hamsters if necessary. Some of the weaklings will get eaten too.
never ever put syrian or dwarf hamsters cannot be put together because they fight but boys and girls do not (but they have babies obviously!) they fight and it can lead to death!!! :(so dont do it!!! Edit: Actually, male and female hamsters will also fight in between mating and the male will eat the babies or stress out the mother so much that she will eat them. Hamsters are solitary creatures by nature and so it is best to keep them apart once they aren't babies anymore.
