This breed requires a calm, firm, assertive, but patient owner who is willing to put in the time to socialize and train it. Therefore, if you are considering owning this breed, and you are a first time Dog owner, you must be willing to attend puppy/Dog Training classes both to help you and your Dog. Provided you put in the effort, there is no reason that you should not take on this breed.
NOTE: If you choose to become a Pit Bull owner, you must ensure that you are responsible and prove to the World just how great the Pit Bull breed can be as a pet. Help fight the bad press!
