You can reset the theft system in your 1994 Cadillac Deville by putting the key into the ignition. Turn the ignition to the auxiliary position, without starting the engine. Leave it in this position for 30 seconds.
Turn the key to "on" without starting the engine......leave it in that position for about 1-2 minutes.....then turn the key to "off" (without trying to start the engine) remove the key completely.......wait about 15 seconds then insert key and start a normal varoooooom....it should start....Bill in Evans
Lubricating oil allows for the metal parts of an engine to slide by each other without chipping away the two parts. Without it, the engine would start chipping away at each other and leave open areas, causing defficiencies and breaking on/of the engine
If you leave the Ingition Switch on without the engine running. The battery will go dead. Then you will have to get a boost or charge the battery to get the engine started.
It might need reprogramming, but try this first.. 1. Disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 10 minutes. 2. Rehook the battery, then turn the igntion on without starting it. 3. Leave the ignition on for 1 minute, then try to restart it. It might take a while, but it should level out. Good Luck!!!
