The major thing that happens is at the end in the secret ending. Ventus goes into young Sora's heart. This is why sora EVER became a keyblade wielder. Also, Roxas and Ventus look identical. This is because when Ventus went into Sora's heart, he became a part of Sora. When Sora sacrificed himself for Kiari in Kingdom Hearts 1, that formed a nobody, Roxas. Part of Ventus went into that nobody, so Ventus and Roxas look just alike. Aside from all of that, the other major thing is that Terra gives Riku the power of darkness at a young age. So in KH1 when Sora gets to weild the keyblade, Riku gets to control darkness.

Axel is in his early 20s, possible 21-24. Demyx is possibly 17. Zexion is also possibly 17 or 16. Larxene is most likely in her early or mid 20s. Saix is either in his mid or late 20s.
