That isn't a huge gap, but it would depend more on the maturity level of both kids, and how their parents felt about it.but if the parents say nothen the kids could still be really colse freinds

Yes you can but it would just look akward the girl would be more mature and the guy would be more childish. That happen to me he was taller than me and look like a 16 year old but we didn't ask our ages we just got to know each other and liked one and other so we started dating but one day I ask him how old he was and said 12 it was really akward so 14 year olds date ppl your age or 1 year older

it would be a little weird. especially because the 12 year old is still pretty young. if i was you i would wait a little longer to go out
