Of course it is. Ghosts, although they do not seem it, are almost all human spirits. Demons and the like are ussually more powerfull then regular ghosts, being able to jump places. But it all depends on the person asking. I mean, if you truley believe in the paranormal, then it will be more attached to you than those around you. Or it may be a residual haunting, in which case it plays itself over and over again. But it usually has a set time and place if it's residual. But I suggest researching whatever else you want to know. Most things have to be figured out yourself.
