with some year, make, and models, and someone dumb enough, yes it is very 'probable'
Have the heads and head gasket checked possible thermostat in backwards
possible blown head gasket
not sure of the cost. I doubt the mechanic broke the headgasket. More than likely when the radiator and water pump went bad the engine overheated enough to ruin the headgasket.
Replace water pump and gasket
blown head gasket, bad water pump, low on coolant, fans not kicking on, etc etc.. if u dont know the basics, take it to a mechanic.
There is coolant on the ground occasionally. How will I know when the intake manifold gasket is leaking
Yes, antifreeze can leak from a water pump gasket.
You can try putting some "Stop Leak" in your radiator, but the only proper way is to remove the water pump and replace the gasket and the Pump too if it's leaking.
Im not an auto mechanic but could be the hoses , hose clamp came loose, or could be the water pump wnet bad, or the W/P gasket, or any other thing , or gasket that is part of the cooling system.
we need to know which gasket your talking about. Gasket in a condesate pump
I was looking at fordparts.com and it shows a water pump gasket
If you're referring to the water pump gasket, and, if you're changing a faulty water pump, a gasket should come with it and also needs to be changed (Use the grey Permatex gasket sealant on the new gasket). If you're referring to the head gasket - not necessarily.
