It's possible that you may not be as far along as you thought. You may have ovulated late in your cycle, and the baby is just not developed enough to see anything. Give it time. - Or - In the case of a blighted ovum, a scan will pick up the image of a gestational sac, but sadly, there is no baby developing within the sac. You may often have all the signs of pregnancy, and will come up positive on a pregnancy test. It can take a while for your body to figure out what is going on, but eventually, since there is not actually a baby growing, your body will reject the tissue. Often, if someone has a blighted ovum and is not miscarrying naturally (a "missed" miscarriage) a doctor will perform a D & C and remove the contents of the uterus.
No, they can not. If your pregnancy test showed up positive, you are most likely pregnant. - M.D. in Medical Science
If the test showed a clear positive, it is very likely you are indeed pregnant, you should see a qualified medical practitioner for confirmation and advice.
YES! You should go to a doctor. The pregnancy test showed up positive because it detected the hormone that says your pregnant..
this same thing happened to me... this morning i had a negative preg. test - but yesterday i had a positive... not sure- but feel pregnant- i have an 8 mo. old- and i feel like i did when i was preg. with him...
I took a home pregnancy test and the control line didn't show up but the positive line did so could i be pregnant? I haven' had a period since June 25,2009.
your not pregnant
If you have an old pregnancy test over time it may change that's all. It doesnt mean that you are pregnant.
Pregnancy tests aren't 100% accurate. Some brands will show a positive reading after 10 mins even if you aren't, so it is important to always read the test when the instructions for the test say to. I don't trust pregnancy tests now as I did 6 pregnancy test and only one showed a positive result, even the test at the dr showed negative and after doing 2 bloodtests over 2 days did i know that i was in fact pregnant and yet i was 6 wks.Pregnancy tests test the pregnancy hormone level in your urine. It is very important to look at the instructions on the box, and read the test when it says to read it.For some women, they don't produce enough hormone for the test to register that they are in fact pregnant. A false positive is a very rare occurrence, however.Chances are, if you got a positive, then yes, you're probably pregnant.
YES.... U CAN STILL BE PREGNANT... JUST CUZ THE PREGNANCY HORMONE IS NOT PRESENT YET DOES NOT MEAN THAT U ARE NOT PREGNANT... U MAY BE VERY EARLY IN PREGNANCY AND THIS IS WHY IT HAS NOT SHOWED A POSITIVE RESULT... THE BEST TEST TO HAVE IS A BLOOD TEST... U NEVER KNOW... U COULD BE PREGNANT AND NOT KNOW IT... SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE... MY 1ST PREGNANCY ID DID NOT KNOW I WAS PREGNANT UNTIL I WAS 91/2 WEEKS PREGNANT... I WAS STILL GETTING MY MONTHLY CYCLE BUT WAS SICK... WENT TO THE HOSPITAL THINKING I HAD A STOMACH FLU AND CAME OUT W/ THE DIAGNOSIS OF BEING 91/2 WEEKSA PREGNANT... SO SEE... ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.... YES.... U CAN STILL BE PREGNANT... I knew someone who really thought she was preggo, all the tests were negative the dr told her she wasnt 3 months later it finally showed positive and she was about 3 months pregnant! Good luck.
A pregnancy test wont be reliable until after 2 weeks.
Either is a possibility. See your doctor ASAP for proper diagnosis & treatment.
