Is it possible to be 7 weeks pregnant but an early scan showed no baby but pregnancy tests come back positive?

It's possible that you may not be as far along as you thought. You may have ovulated late in your cycle, and the baby is just not developed enough to see anything. Give it time. - Or - In the case of a blighted ovum, a scan will pick up the image of a gestational sac, but sadly, there is no baby developing within the sac. You may often have all the signs of pregnancy, and will come up positive on a pregnancy test. It can take a while for your body to figure out what is going on, but eventually, since there is not actually a baby growing, your body will reject the tissue. Often, if someone has a blighted ovum and is not miscarrying naturally (a "missed" miscarriage) a doctor will perform a D & C and remove the contents of the uterus.

If you have an old pregnancy test over time it may change that's all. It doesnt mean that you are pregnant.

Do some pregnant women not give out enough hormoes for a pregnancy test to read positive in the first trimester?
I knew someone who really thought she was preggo, all the tests were negative the dr told her she wasnt 3 months later it finally showed positive and she was about 3 months pregnant! Good luck.
