The reason is if you click on the characters it will tell you it had risen from the ocean. Now, a glitch is pulling it down! This glitch affects Poptropica itself. Poptropica news on the creator's blog will tell you sadly, Poptropolis will indeed sink under water. This can result in 3 things: Long-lasting maintenance, complete island shut-down, or the island being under water and you can still play. This tragic turn of events is very serious.
