AnswerI think it is definitely possible to love someone so much you feel pain. I'm head over heels in love with my boyfriend but sometimes I ache and long for him, that it physically hurts my heart and I just want to cry. Haven't you ever heard the saying Love Hurts? well that was meant physically and mentally. I once loved someone so much, I literally felt my brain splitting a part (of course it didn't really split) but my body ached and I felt weak all the time. But I was secure, I was completely confident with who I was.

I then felt myself degrade in terms of lifestyle. I got depressed because I loved her, not because I was afraid.

The physical pain you feel will pass. What I did was reflect on myself, you could try that. I don't know the situation with your relationship so I cannot say too much.

No--love could never be "TOO". You are supposed to love. Where would you be without love? There's no such thing as "too much love". And if there was, it wouldn't be anything negative. LOVE is GREAT. There's no bad love.

Your love for your girlfriend/boyfriend will be all the stronger for you being independent. Just give yourself time to see how things work out between you.
