With the PlayStation 2, internet access can be enabled in a variety of methods, the most common of which is through a wired connection. Using the ethernet port on the back of the PlayStation 2, one can connect the PS2 system to the internet. However, if no ethernet connection is available, some third-party wireless adapters are available that can be used with the PS2 either through the USB or ethernet port.
PS3 Dualshock 3 controllers are Bluetooth although they also work with a USB cord that is only a limited wired use. PS2 does not get or have Bluetooth so the controllers could not work wirelessly on a system that does not have Bluetooth
No PS2 doesnt have built in Wi-Fi but i am pretty sure you can buy something to do the job. However you can plug it in somehow to an internet conntection to play multiplayer games.
Yup! When you purchase a PlayStation 3, it will come with one wireless controller.
The PS3 has built in WiFi the PS2 does not
Yes, it's wireless but once it's dead you need to charge it.
yes there is i have seen some in stores
No, all PS2 games need a wired ethernet connection. PS2 does not have a wireless setting.
You need to buy a PS2 Network Adapter as well as a Ps2 wireless internet connector (lookup: linksys) other than that I don't think you can just connect to your own wireless...... not a bad idea though.
no
Yes it is possible for a PS2 to have an online connection with the internet
Get internet DSL or cable service purchase a router and connect the ethernet cable
Yes, you will need to connect your Ethernet cable to your router in order to get online. The Ps2 does not have wireless built in. If you want your Ps2 to go wireless you will need whats called a Wireless Ethernet Bridge. Or a wireless adapter that is compatible for your Ps2.
you need a online disk a ps2 adopter the internet connection, the ps2 and a tv
yes of course you do if you are going to be online you need internet
No You need to connect it to the PS2 not a computer. The wireless connection made at the computer will not allow it to work at all for the ps2 instead of now allowing your PS2 to be online.
No, all PS2 games need a wired ethernet connection. PS2 does not have a wireless setting.
yes you need a network adaptor
you cant
Cricket can not provide internet to the PS2
you will need a internet wire cable to play online. After you have the wire, you put it at the back of your ps2,where it fits.
The thing is that you don't hook anything, you need an internet modem that is capable of creating a wireless connection f.e. inside your house.
If you have wireless internet, buy or use a gaming adapter. Hook an ethernet cord to the back of your ps2 to the gaming adapter or ethernet bridge. Now before you do that, make sure the adapter is configured to a computer. Slimline ps2's have a network slot in the back of it. Fat ps2's need a special adapter from the back of the ps2. They are called Ps2 adapters I think. If you have normal internet, I think you need to connect your ps2 to a router or modem with an ethernet cord. Make sure you have the online game CD for your ps2. If you don't have it, you can buy it pretty cheap at http://www.totalconsole.com/servlet/the-89/NETWORK-ADAPTER-ONLINE-START-dsh-UP/Detail.
You can't connect your ps2 to the internet, and there is no online play on the ps2. It's only the ps3 that you can connect to the internet. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my ps2 connected to the internet. BUT U CANT PLAY 09 ONLINE
