You are not allergic to most things. Being allergic to something means that your body produces an unnecessary immune reaction to that thing; if you are not allergic, it means that your body does not produce an immune reaction to that thing.

People can be allergic to any stimuli and substance which their bodies' immune systems interprets as a foreign invader causing the histamine levels to rise - thus an allergic reaction begins.

You cannot be allergic to your kids and spouse and in-laws however! That is a common myth that you can be allergic to another person.

You can be allergic to a substance the other person is wearing or used on their clothing, skin or hair or even on their shoes.

I have never heard of an allergy to water but I suppose it could happen if a certain water had a substance a person is allergic too such as lime or chlorine.

If you went to a medical web site I suspect you would find a huge list of the most common and even the most unusual allergy ever discovered.

Immunotherapy is the process of injecting small amounts of whatever you are allergic to into the body. The continued exposure helps build a resistance to the allergen.
