on most cars no, but usually the motor fails gradually and will slow down the worse shape its in. if it still buzzes you might be able to help the window up by gently lifting the glass as the motor struggles to lift it.
There are several possible issues when the window on just one side stops working. The most likely is a bad switch. Other possibilities are that the window motor has gone out or that there is a problem with the wiring.
It could be that the window motor has stopped working.
the fastest way t o rule out any relays is to get at the window motor and give it a tap with a small hammer. If the motor works after that then the problem is with the window motor. the window motor should then be replaced!!!!

If it has stopped working, you bang it hard enough just above the speaker, it will start working again. I've had the same problem.
If only one window quit working, it's probably not the fuse. It might be the motor, but if you haven't been having any warning signs (slowing down, noisey operation) I just as soon bet the problem is in the window switch.
most likely the switch or a wire, the motor would probably show signs that it's getting weak or about to quit completely.
window motor, any auto parts store will have them
